Law Enforcement

Law Enforcement

Law enforcement approaches to fingerprinting can vary significantly. This variance is due, in part, to capital costs and system utilization rates. Yet, in general, there is a continuing collective movement toward fewer ink and paper fingerprints. Electronic fingerprinting is done using an optical live scan device and in some cases an optical palm scanner. Recently, a new type of optical fingerprinting for fast identification has been developed for law enforcement.

i3 has several deployed solutions for this market that provide extremely easy to use interfaces. Using leading edge technologies, i3’s live scan systems are optimized for quick image capture, quality & sequence checking and fast submission which together result in easy to use and efficient operation. Our solutions use our digID series scanners in conjunction with inVize ID. Our solutions provide for:

  • inVize ID provides a simple interface for capturing demographic data.
  • inVize ID manages all demographic data and electronically submits records.
  • The quality check system provides immediate feedback on the quality of each print.
  • The auto-capture feature captures both slaps and rolls as they are completed.
  • Fingerprint records may be pre-created using a built-in automatic data import utility.
  • All records are can be automatically stored for later retrieval, verification, or reference.
